Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10am-5pm
Explore, Experience, Enjoy!
The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is a 4 acre area downtown Minden that houses the Agnes Jamieson Gallery, the Minden Hills Museum, R.D. Lawrence Place and the Minden Hills Branch of the Haliburton County Public Library. The Agnes Jamieson Gallery is a public art gallery offering visual art exhibitions year-round. The gallery's collection consists primarily of artwork by Andre Lapine. Minden Hills Museum consists of five heritage buildings set to the time period of late 1800s reflecting the pioneering life. R.D. Lawrence Place holds the estate of Ron Lawrence, a well-recognized Canadian geologist, environmentalist and writer. Lawrence's life and books are displayed through changing exhibitions. The Centre grounds also offer a labyrinth, gift shops, walking trails and tours.
The Minden Hills Cultural Centre is owned and operated by the Township of Minden Hills. We gratefully acknowledge the support of our members, our many dedicated volunteers and the many community groups and funders who support and make use of the Cultural Centre.
